A few weeks ago a friend contacted me about a new company called WELBiS LABS. They sell natural pain relief products. My friend said, “Hey, you’re in the wellness business, and you like to write. Maybe you could help them spread the word about their products?” Honestly, I was a little skeptical. The pain relief business is booming, and I find it challenging to distinguish between the really good companies and the ones that are just trying to jump on the bandwagon. But, because it was a friend of a friend, I agreed to have a conversation. Immediately after learning that their products were developed by healthcare providers who hold doctoral degrees in physical therapy and pharmacy, I felt my skepticism start to dissolve. These owners were in the field helping real people with real pain every day. They saw a need for better options, so they created their own safe and effective solutions. I admire that. I also liked the fact that their products comes from organic plants grown in Colorado. They work with a local farm that cultivates it without using pesticide or chemicals. I lived in Colorado for 4 years and have confidence in companies that choose to do business there because of the high standards. Colorado is well known for healthy living and healthy products. When I heard that the other ingredients that carry pain relief to the skin are cruelty-free, plant-based, and made of aloe, coconut oil and shea butter in order to prevent any harmful skin reaction, I knew that these were the kind of products I would be ok putting on my own skin. So I agreed to test their “Relieve” cream and their “Recover” cream. I work with high-end clients who invest a lot of money to work with me. They trust me with their health, so I’m certainly not going to recommend something that I can’t wholeheartedly endorse. About a week later I received the products. The packaging had a nice look and feel to it, but the proof would be in what the creams did for my pain. So then...I waited. I had to have some sort of pain to put the product on, right? Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately), I didn’t have to wait long. As an active 47 year old, pain is never too far away. The first place I tried the products on was around my shoulder blade. I had a tension spot that hurt when I moved my neck or breathed in too deeply. So, I popped off the lid of the “Relieve” bottle and pumped some into my palm. I thought to myself, “Well, at least it looks natural. It’s creamy beige and not some artificial color.” Then I rubbed it on my sore spot. I immediately felt a cooling sensation from the soothing menthol, followed by less pain within just a few minutes. Sweet. What’s even sweeter is that my 70 year old mom visited the next week, so I shared the products with her, too. She had a hip replacement a few months ago, and sometimes her hip aches before she goes to bed. “Relieve” helps with her pain. She’s now gotten in the habit of putting it on her hip every night before she goes to bed which helps her to fall asleep easily without pain. But the story continues. My mom visited her sister in Arizona and shared the “Relieve” with her because has arthritis in both hands. My aunt immediately felt relief. She couldn’t believe how fast it worked, loved it, and ordered some for herself! It makes sense why it works so well. The CBD cream (Relieve) is a full-spectrum product. That means two things. It contains other good, natural compounds from hemp that enhance the potency of CBD as a pain reliever (also called terpenes). And it’s safe because it contains below the federal legal limit (0.3%) of THC which is the compound in cannabis with psychoactive properties. For those who feel uncertain about using the CBD products due to their job requirements and drug testing, they’ve created an alternate pain reliever with the Arnica products (Recover). They provide great pain relief like the CBD products but are more cost effective. Arnica helps with pain because it’s a plant compound with anti-inflammatory properties. I actually used Arnica before this when I went to a naturopathic physician a couple of years ago. She injected my large hysterectomy scar with Arnica. This helped to reduce the scar pain and heal the nerve damage below the incision. So I already had high expectations of the Arnica product, and it lived up to them. So, instead of taking ibuprofen or dangerous anti-inflammatories that circulate through the whole body and can strain the liver, it’s nice to have something natural and topical that will act right away to address localized pain. The owners of WELBiS LABS reached out to me to promote this product, and I can honestly say that it does what they say it does. It gives temporary relief to painful joints and muscles in a natural, healthy way. I think everyone, especially those over 40, should keep some handy in the medicine closet. You never know when the next ache or pain is going to show up from arthritis, muscle tension, or injury, and I think WELBiS LABS products could ease your journey. In fact, I’m going to start including these products in my new client welcome packages for my 12 week program called The Wellth Academy™. When my clients begin to add more movement to their days, there are bound to be some sore spots to work through. I think WELBiS LABS can help.
