‘I know I need to lose weight, but I just can’t seem to get to the gym.’

Why is exercise the one thing everyone thinks they need to do first to lose weight, when in reality, exercise is only a small part of the weight loss equation? This skips a whole bunch of easier steps.
You wouldn't climb way up in the tree for fruit at the top when there is so much ripe fruit within your reach, would you?
Or you wouldn't recommend going straight to investing in risky stocks before you have an emergency fund or a plan for paying down debt, right? Stocks might be part of the plan later, but put first things first if you want the best long term financial success.
