Don't Exercise To Lose Weight: Focus On How You Break Your Fast

​‘I know I need to lose weight, but I just can’t seem to get to the gym.’

I hear this ALL. THE. TIME.

Why is
exercise the one thing everyone thinks they need to do first to lose weight, when in reality, exercise is only a small part of the weight loss equation? This skips a whole bunch of easier steps.

You wouldn't climb way up in the tree for fruit at the top when there is so much ripe fruit within your reach, would you?

Or you wouldn't recommend going straight to investing in risky stocks before you have an emergency fund or a plan for paying down debt, right? Stocks might be part of the plan later, but put first things first if you want the best long term financial success.

It's the same with weight loss. Starting your journey with exercise isn’t the most effective use of your time. It’s the ‘how-quickly-can-I-start-and-stop-something’ way because it takes work, a lot of time, and the results can be elusive.

The single most important decision you can make if you’re serious about reigning in your weight is to how you break your fast.

How your break your fast will make or break your day.

Your first meal of the day (hint: it’s not always in the morning) sets the stage for how your blood sugar & insulin cycle will play out for the rest of the day.

It will impact cravings, energy, fat production in the waist, hormones, stress, and so much more.
